PROGRAM INFO & CURRICULUM
At the completion of The Coding Source CPC Training Course, a successful graduate will be able to take the CPC Exam to become a Certified Professional Coder (CPC). The CPC title is a nationally recognized professional designation governed by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). The CPC designation demonstrates to employers that the individual has reached a certain level of coding knowledge and places him/her a step above the competition. As a medical coder, The Coding Source graduate will be able to assign the correct billing code for each service provided for reimbursement. Appropriate coding is vital because an incorrect code can result in reduced revenues for the provider, difficulty in receiving reimbursement and/or substantial fines.
