CPC Training

Because opportunities aren’t just knocking, they’re smashing down the door.
The responsibilities of professional coders are significant. The shortage of coders is acute. The demand is tremendous. And consequently, so are the opportunities for qualified coders.

The growing demand for physician coders is expected to continue for some time to come. Qualified coders can expect to enjoy top dollar compensation and flexible work schedules, including full or part-time staff jobs, the ability to work from a home office, or the opportunity to become part of our outsourcing network.

Does Certification make a difference?
According to the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Survey of 5,155 Coding professions, Certified Coders earn an average of 17% more than non-certified coders. 42% of respondents said certification was required for employment at their current jobs. The AAPC revealed in their 2007 Salary Survey that a recent search on monster.com showed 310 available medical coding positions, 128 of which required certification. Coders without a coding certificate could not apply to 41% of those jobs. Additionally, because of litigation and governmental audits, healthcare providers are insisting that their staff be certified to ensure some degree of control.

Although many training programs offer “medical coding” training, most are not geared toward preparing their graduates for the national certification exam. Our CPC Training Course covers all aspects of Medical Coding in a logical sequence while preparing you for the coding certification exam. Our program is designed using the curriculum of the American Academy of Professional Coders, the organization that designates the CPC credential and administers the national exam. At the completion of the course, a successful graduate will be able to take the CPC exam to become a Certified Professional Coder (CPC). The CPC title is a nationally recognized professional designation that demonstrates to employers that the individual has reached a certain level of coding knowledge and places him/her a step above the competition.
